gimmul tammuz

This Thursday is a very special day in Chabad, its the "yortzeit" of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, he was a great leader in our times. On that day it is customary to do something special in his honor, like a extra Mitzva or to do act's of goodness and kindness. We all benefited from the Rebbe in any way, may it be with his centers that he opened up all over the globe, or may it be the blessings that we got from him.

It is also customary to send a note to the "Ohel" (the Rebbe's grave site) for the resting place of a Tzaddik is a holy place and we put notes there to ask for blessings just as we do by the "Kotel" (the western wall in Jerusalem) if you want to do so log on to http://www.ohelchabad.org

If you want to learn more about the Rebbe and his Techings and much more visit http://www.chabad.org/therebbe

We all hope that with all the goodness and kindness that we all did and will do, we will merit to the coming of Moshiach... Amen
