Pesach 5765

Reporting the events that transpired over the first days of pesach in crown heights, would not be fairly reporting the happening of lubavitch because crown heights makes up of merely a small percentage of the vast lubavitch empire world wide.

The strength and the continuation of lubavitch lies in the hands of the many shluchim scattered throughout the world, reaching the farthest, and most remote places in the world, conducting large pesach sederaim to accommodate the many people who want to taste yiddishkeit. Reporting that crown heights was almost empty of bachurim the first days, as it was, would give the Rebbe most nachas.

The selfless act of many bachurim who chose to spend their pesach in far flung places throughout the world, instead of spending the yom tov with family and friends.

Kol Hakavod to all the bochurim,
I am sure you are making the Rebbe proud.

The second days in crown heights will prove itself to be more full of bachurim, returning from their shlichus.

Passover is on the way!

Nothing is certain, but my assumption as to the happenings in and around lubavitch today, the 12th of Nissan would be: the back-breaking labor of Lining the refrigerator with heavy duty silver foil, boiling sugar (a concept only understood by the chaddish) the heavenly aroma of chicken fat boiling together with onions, to create the pesach special of shmaltz and gribbenes. I highly doubt there would be much more happening, like no one would pick a fight, or blowtorch a stone, they are too busy with other stuff. But then again, the main fighters have no home here, they have no wife sending them on errands to stand hours in the fish store to order 60 pounds of raw fish, they have no mother here making them peel 100 pounds of potatoes and carrots. They have no car to wash and clean, but yet it is still quiet. Maybe, just maybe they are busy using puff paint to create and style the new and improved yechi yamulka with colorful lettering on a tyrlene yamulka, instead of the dull gold and sometime white look. Maybe pink and blue lettering would be nice- or yellow! For now happy peeling! Just out of curiousity. For a family of 10 one buys 50 pounds of matzah, 100 pounds of potatoes, 50 pounds of onions, 60 pounds of fish, 45 pounds of carrots, 25 pounds of apples, 25 pounds of shmaltz, 12 cases of wine, weighing 100 pounds together and much more- according to this calculations, the family as a whole eats 500 pounds of food, divided by 10 is 50 pounds of food over the whole pesach- no wonder my pants are always tight after pesach!!!

The Mitzvah Tanks

Today (yud aleph Nissan) over 50 tanks went out to Manhattan to bring the message that Passover is next door. They also told the world about the Rebbe’s birthday aside the mass yechi that was on the tanks all was nice. my reliable source tell me that this year there was less yechi for example on the P.A due to the smart and useful members of "Tzach" that are in charge of New York.
